SENIOR PRODUCTION ENGINEER
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering; PEng designation
SKILLS
- At least 7 years’ experience in CSS/SAGD production environment
- Ability to provide scope, planning, budget and sign off supervision for major capital projects
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Production Engineer will be responsible for construction projects including expansion, facility design and construction of new facilities. Specific Project Management experience in scoping, budget creation and control, task planning and final sign off normally acquired through measurable experience in mid-size and larger CSS/SAGD projects. The successful incumbent will also be accountable for daily well monitoring and maximizing of current assets.

SENIOR EXPLOITATION ENGINEER
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering; PEng designation
SKILLS
- 10+ years’ experience in exploitation and production facilities
- Light oil/tight oil asset optimization and development experience
- Waterflood expansion and development
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Exploitation Engineer will bring a minimum of 10 years’ experience in tight and light oil development and optimization projects. Responsible for reservoir performance, optimization and rig allocation, the successful incumbent will also be involved in drilling fracture design activities, as well as waterflood expansion activities. These technical skills will be combined with project management capabilities as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

INTERMEDIATE PRODUCTION ENGINEER
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering with current PEng designation
SKILLS
- At least 7 years’ experience in both oil and gas production facilities
- Familiarity with EOR Polymer, waterflood and cold production techniques
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Intermediate Production Engineer will be responsible for well/pump optimization, filed reviews and subsurface maintenance practices, normally acquired through at least 7 years of experience in a variety of oil and gas production facilities. The position will require the ability to develop and track production budgets and operation plans to ensure optimal performance of both oil and gas assets. Excellent leadership and communication skills are required in this role.

FACILITY ENGINEER
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in mechanical Engineering with a current PEng designation
SKILLS
- Significant Project Management experience across Western Canada
- Well-developed vendor management and contract/land negotiations skills
- Demonstrated success in facilities management and the leading cross functional teams in both project and operational settings
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Facility Engineer will be accountable for all aspects of project development engineering and facilities management for operations across Western Canada. Significant skill in managing external vendor relationships and EPC staff normally acquired through 8-10 years of experience in facilities and engineering management including ensuring health and safety regulatory compliance, managing procedures and approvals, monitoring key performance indicators and providing operation and maintenance support. In addition to facility operations, the successful incumbent will also be involved in in PFD’s, P&ID’s, establishing pipeline routes and helping to resolve land disputes where required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Reservoir Engineer will provide support and information to maximize production in current thermal production operations. Duties will include significant reservoir modeling activities designed to support resource optimization for SAGD reservoirs. Modeling and data gathering activities will include reservoir simulations, team analog studies, and economic valuation assessment as well as reserve depletion studies. The incumbent will also be responsible for operations activities with a view to maximizing current assets.

INTERMEDIATE EXPLOITATION ENGINEER (THERMAL)
QUALIFICATIONS

- At least 5 years’ experience in a SAGD/CSS exploitation role
SKILLS
- Ability to perform economic valuations, impact studies, reserve analysis and monitoring
- Identify thermal reservoir depletion and development strategies, develop business cases and ensure regulatory compliance
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the Senior Exploitation team members, the Intermediate Exploitation Engineer will take primary accountability for operational monitoring and data gathering to support resource optimization. Duties will include routine reserve analysis and monitoring, development of business plan and economic valuation and identifying reservoir depletion and development strategies. Your work will include operational responsibilities and will be accountable for regulatory compliance.

FACILITIES ENGINEER
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Masters level preferred
- EIT and commensurate experience will also be considered
SKILLS
- At least 10 years’ experience in heavy oil improvement and water treatment facilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of SAGD sites, PFD and P&ID development
- Equipment design and equipment cost estimation skills, simulations, and case evaluations
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Facilities Engineer will bring significant operational knowledge in SAGD sites, PFD and P&ID development projects, normally acquired through at least 5 years’ experience in operations at heavy oil and gas facilities. The successful candidate will design hydrotreaters, gas plants and petroleum utility systems including steam, instrument, air and water treatment. As part their design responsibilities for facility improvement and development, the Facility Engineer will also conduct HYSIS simulations, hydraulic sizing and equipment cost estimation duties.

SENIOR MINING ENGINEER (OIL SANDS)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Mining Engineering
- 8-10 years’ experience in Oil Sands
SKILLS
- Previous mine plan development for Oil Sands sites required
- Medium and long term planning skills for mines, resources and equipment
- Ability to design comprehensive mine ventilation plans, as well as experience in mine scheduling and support activities
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Mining Engineer will bring demonstrated experience in design of mines, including all operational and production requirements normally acquired through 8-10 years of Oil Sands mine experience. The Mining Engineer will be accountable to ensure that mines are designed with adequate medium and long term views towards initial development and operational activities. The incumbent will possess an excellent background in designing and maintaining mine ventilation systems as well as providing operational planning support for mine activities including production scheduling and identifying necessary support equipment needs for the site.

INTERMEDIATE COST AND SCHEDULE ENGINEER
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Industrial) or Engineering Technologist (EIT) with at least 5 years’ experience in Project Cost and Schedule development
SKILLS
- Project management experience normally acquired through 7-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with a focus on cost and schedule estimation
- Provide comprehensive
- Ability to provide comprehensive view of direct and indirect costs of various projects including presentation of numbers, metrics and associated benchmarks to senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated commitment to realize cost and schedule efficiencies through effective monitoring and implementation of project improvement tasks throughout the project life cycle
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful incumbent will be a seasoned project engineer with measurable experience in the development and implementation of cost and schedule tasks beginning with the planning phase ad following through to completion. As part of the project team, the Intermediate Cost and Schedule Engineer will provide benchmarks, metrics and business information to support planning activities and will be able to assist junior team members in completion of their cost and schedule task development. Excellent written and oral communication skills will be required, as the Intermediate Cost and Scheduling Engineer will be required to present information to technical and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

PROCESS DESIGN ENGINEER (DOWNSTREAM)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Chemical Engineering Degree
- Field Support and Operations experience is an asset
SKILLS
- 5-10 years’ experience in downstream oil projects including development of process design and specifications documentation for capital projects
- Demonstrated expertise in process simulation such as PROII for Heat and Material balances
- Extensive knowledge of equipment design, heat integration, metallurgy, control systems and instrumentation
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Process Design Engineer will support investment screening and process technology evaluation processes and provide necessary documentation for new equipment. In addition to providing technical expertise and necessary background data and performance of process simulation, the incumbent will provide field support through project execution and site commissioning activities. Working in conjunction with Process specialists, the Design Engineer will provide assistance in troubleshooting existing equipment and will work to continuously improve process design work and tool sets.

PLANT OPERATOR
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2nd Class Power Certificate
SKILLS
- Experience using steam driven oil recovery in heavy oil facilities as well as gas collection systems
- Familiarity with Steam Turbines, Power Boilers and automation tools including Honeywell DCS, and JD Edwards
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Plant Operator will be accountable for facility Start up and Shut down, as well as monitoring and optimizing processes in a steam recovery facility. In addition to operational tasks, the Plant Operator will schedule work on equipment including pump change outs and will act as delegate shift engineer as required.
